31 mins confidence: charge for paying in or cashing a cheque
Explanation: Many banks in Spain charge a small fee for cashing or paying in cheques to an account if the cheque is not one of their own, i.e. it is from any other bank.
I assume that the amount debited from the account is a small and rounded number, perhaps 3.50€?

In that case, yes. "Cheque cashed"

Asker: Hi Michael, thanks for your answer. Unfortunately the debit entry in the account is for a few hundred euros, so I don't think that it could be that. Could it just mean "cheque cashed"?
