Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Finance (general) | | Spanish term or phrase: facilidades marginales de crédito/depósito | I have seen Proz question http://www.proz.com/kudoz/english_to_spanish/finance_general... which gives "facilidades marginales de crédito" as a translation of "margin facilities", but I cannot find any instances of "credit/deposit margin faciities" to distinguish between the two. I have also found the translation "marginal credit facilities", but there appear to be only eight translations on the Internet, which is not too convincing. Any thoughts?
El saldo en caja y el de la cuenta tesorera se reflejarán en la columna “Saldo disponible inicial”, mientras que los saldos tomados en la ***facilidad marginal de depósito*** se reflejarán únicamente en la banda de vencimiento “Día siguiente”.

The marginal lending facility
It enables institutions to obtain overnight liquidity from the national central banks against collateral.
Apart from the requirement to present adequate collateral, there are usually no credit limits or other restrictions placed on institutions to access this facility.
The marginal credit facility interest rate normally provides the ceiling for the overnight market interest rate.

Marginal deposit facility:
The marginal interest-bearing deposit facility is a permanent facility, deemed to be unsecured (en blanc), granted exclusively to banks by the BA.
At their initiative, banks may utilize the marginal deposit facility to make overnight deposits at the BA, deposits which are remunerated at a fixed interest rate.

In the eurozone the discount window is called Standing Facilities, which are used to manage overnight liquidity. Qualifying counterparties can use the Standing Facilities to increase the amount of cash they have available for overnight settlements using the Marginal Lending Facility. Conversely, excess funds can be deposited within the [[European Central Bank System (ECBS) and earn interest using the Deposit facility.
