Spanish term or phrase: $60,000.00 (SESENTA MIL PESOS 00/100 M.N.)
This appears on a Mexican fiduciary document requesting funds to be released from a Trust - it is the sum requested. My question is what the 00/100 M.N. refers to?

$60,000.00 (SIXTY THOUSAND PESOS 00/100 NAT. CURR.) (National Currency)
Explanation:
The term I have used for 43 years is "National Currency" and I recommend it. Once established, it may also be abbreviated "N.C.".

If others prefer "Domestic", fine for them, I don't.

$60,000.00 (sixty thousand and 0/100 pesos, domestic currency)

Explanation:
The 00/100 refers to the decimal column (zero centimos). For example, if you are writing out the amount of a check in words, I learned to write out the amount as follows: sixty thousand and 0/100. M.N. is moneda nacional. This is probably to clarify what type of peso they are referring to.

Spanish term or phrase: pesos 00/100 M.N.
From a Mexican lease contract:

la renta ha sido fijada en la cantidad de $1,185.00 (MIL CIENTO OCHENTA Y CINCO PESOS 00/100 M.N.)

What does the 00/100 mean? Should I just translate it as Mexican pesos?

cero centavos, Moneda Nacional
Explanation:
00/100 es, como dice hecdan, 0 centavos.
M.N. es la abreviatura usada en Mexico para Moneda Nacional (para aclarar que no se trata de dolares, etc)

1,185.00 Mexican Pesos
