Central Bank Bills Explanation: while the Nobac are Central Bank Notes -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 13 hrs (2015-05-01 11:53:15 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The same as US T-bills, but for much shorter periods. Definitely not a bill of exchange, used in trade for payment of goods or services. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day15 hrs (2015-05-02 13:28:25 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The bills are used to regulate money supply by absorbing pesos on the local money market for short periods by means of weekly auctions, as a result of which they are also constantly maturing. |
