Translating article, and it says here:

"Ninguna referencia a que los citados, con Botín a la cabeza, tendrán que sentarse en el banquillo por supuesta administración desleal de fondos sociales y apropiación indebida de 152 millones de euros (más de **25.000 millones** de las antiguas pesetas)."

I'm not a math person, but I'm pretty sure this doesn't match up. Any help?

yes, it does
Explanation:
Most definitely.
Six euro is one thousand pesetas. Divide 152 by 6, that's 25 and multiply by the thousand.

It depends whether you're in USA or UK

Explanation:
The number 25,000 million in the UK would be just that: twenty five thousand million. BUT in the USA, once you reach 999 million and add one you have one billion, which means that your number would be 25 billion.
So, in USA 1,000 million is said to be a "billion", but in the UK a "billion" is a 1,000,000 million... of anything.

agree  Jorge Gonza: Yes, but your answer should be most appropriate as glossary entry. For example "25 billion (US) / 25 thounsand million (UK)". Keep always in mind answers are intended to be added into a glossary.
