Not if you use "accompany" as a verb. A little more context would be very useful. I am assuming that this "equipment" means a team of people and not a piece of equipment.

Thank you for the added context. Any little bit helps. At least it is a complete phrase and it helps to clarify that it is, indeed, a team of people. The pharse could be constructed several ways, with or without the use of the verb \"accompanied\".
