Rendimiento implícito: El rendimiento implícito es aquel que se calcula por la diferencia entre el precio de compra del activo y el que se compromete a pagarme el emisor en el momento de vencimiento de ese activo. Las Letras del Tesoro y los Pagarés de Empresas tienen rendimientos implícitos.

with the definition for imputed interest from Barron's:

interest considered to have been paid in effect even though no interest was actually paid. For example, the Internal Revenue Servce requires that annual interest be recognized on a zero-coupon security.

That is, the imputed interest is the return from the difference in the purchase and redemption/sale price, but in some securities is the only return, in contrast to explicit interest such as coupon payments.

agree  bigedsenior: Right, T-bonds accrue yearly interest which is taxable each year, even though no money is paid out until the bond matures.
