Gracias, Anne.

covet everything in sight

Explanation:
another option

= as soon as I see it I want it!

which of course links to the 10th Commandment!

"Do not covet thy neighbour's goods..."

www.bible-knowledge.com/do-not-covet-your-neighbors-goods/

They start envying, desiring, and coveting all of the goods and wealth that their ... does not want us to covet “anything” that our neighbor has that we do not have. ...

"monkey see, monkey do" is just to mimic or imitate someone's BEHAVIOUR and actions...not to actually WANT stuff.

agree  DLyons: Although the 9th seems closer to the actual text :-) I hadn't realized there were various numbering systems! According to the Christian Brothers, the 9th was " thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife."

Explanation:
something incorporating this idea ? I can't come up with a neat phrase and this is more of a marketing definition but these profiles are dictated by what they see around them (ultimately meaning they jump on the bandwagon)

It depends on your context, but when I Googled the two sayings together I was surprised at the number of matches that cropped up.
