Spanish term or phrase: edad de la carne
Hola!
La edad de la carne, según el contexto, es el tiempo que lleva lista para ser servida, o bien, la edad del animal.
¿Alguna sugerencia?
Muchas gracias.

The age of the meat
Explanation:
Why not the literal translation? Very common usage in English. The Google search is "direct" hits.

It's not often the English comes out longer than the Spainsh, but there you go:

La edad de la carne, según el contexto, es el tiempo que lleva lista para ser servida, o bien, la edad del animal.

Depending on context, the age of the meat will either be the time it takes to prepare it for consumption, or the actual age of the animal.

agree  Noni Gilbert: Yes, I'd have thought the straightforward translation works fine: covers both the idea of the age of the beastie on slaughter and the possible other context of how long the meat has been hung.
