Spanish term or phrase: epidometría
Dear colleagues:

I've been looking for this term but I haven`t had any luck so far. I understand that "epidometría" is a disciplione whose aim is to measure the growth of trees.

Thank you in advance,

epipedometry

Explanation:
I don't have an answer, but it sounds like something more specific than silviculture. I did a search of epidometria in google, and several of the hits were forestry academic programs that listed epidometria as one of their courses.
For example, the Universidad de San Luis (Argentina) has a
curso de Dasonomía, describes its
UNIDAD XIV EPIDOMETRIA

The closest I could find in English was
Epipedometry, n. [Gr. 'epi`pedos on the ground, level ('epi` + pe`don ground) + -metry.] (Geom.)
The mensuration of figures standing on the same base. [Obs.]
[1913 Webster]

May I suggest writing to a forestry college? People are usually very generous when one approaches them with questions of this sort.

¡Buena suerte!

auxology

Explanation:
"auxology" is the science of growth: The term is usually referred to human growth, but at least here:

http://www.efi.fi/members/members/romania/icas

it's used in the context of Forest Management.
The page has links to various Forestry Departments/Institutions in the USA that you could contact to research the issue.
