I am hoping to get some help with this term that appears in an Argentinian article about the negative impacts of forest plantations. This is the full sentence:
La madera obtenida de las plantaciones de pino –principalmente- y eucaliptos se usa para elaborar pasta de celulosa para papel; el resto se usa para carbón, pallets, **tirantería**, postes y construcciones de baja calidad.
I understand that tirantería means something like beams, ties or braces, but I'm not sure if it includes all of these, or if there is a general term that encompasses these and is used in the same way.
