continúo trabajando en la traducción de un documental de la Cueva de los cristales, el geólogo dice esta frase y les agrego contexto, la verdad estoy enredada y no se como decirlo a partir de A LO LARGO DE CIERTOS TRANSECTOS en adelante:

...para ver que tan grande es el depósito de zinc y plomo en la zona...por lo tanto...eh...hacen barrenos a lo largo de ciertos transectos, de ciertas lineas para ver como va cambiando este tipo de rocas con la profundidad..
