Se cree que este volcán se formó hace 100 mil años cuando las masas ígneas emergieron esparciéndose por la superficie. Luego, como producto de la desgasificación de la materia expulsada por el volcán, se formaron otros volcanes de menor tamaño y numerosas ampollas que se encuentran diseminadas por todo el valle.

Estas "ampollas" son "cavities" o la traducción correcta es otra?
