Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Science - Geology / Possibly a description of a creek or similar waterway.

Spanish term or phrase: Remadura

"Remadura" (Spanish) seems to be used to mean some type of waterway, that is, possibly a creek or gully and its tributaries in the watershed of a river. I have seen it used as the name of a creek on a map in South Texas in the United States near the Mexican border. Also, historically (in South Texas), I have heard the word "ramadero" (also Spanish) used to refer to a draw, which is a small natural drainage way with a shallow bed and possibly including old native brush/bramble(ramas?)/thicket that is supported by this water source. (This description of "draw" is very similar to the description of a creek bed but not exactly the same.) I have also found "Ramadero" used to describe type(s) of soil deposits in a geologic soil survey of an area in South Texas. Are remadura and ramadero two completely different words? Could one be and alteration of the other? How does each translate into English?
