Am not sure.

A work of investment flows


Explanation:
INVESTMENT FLOWS. This approach is to consider two alternatives that the employer has about investing, the first is to invest (Io) for a period equal to the horizon of the project, and the second investment flows as they occur over the horizon and the final score these two flows, comparing this amount with the amount of investment of the first alternative, so that if the sum of the two streams is greater than or equal to the amount of investment, the project is accepted, otherwise the project rejected.

Me parece que se ajusta al contexto y funciona bien en inglés.
A propósito, el estilo del original me parece bastante informal (aunque no soy nativo hispanoparlante)
