Spanish to English translations [PRO] Social Sciences - Government / Politics | | Spanish term or phrase: (abordar ) please see context | La masiva llegada a suelo italiano de inmigrantes sin permiso (más de 3.500 en el mes de junio y unos 23.000 durante el año pasado, sin contar los centenares que pudieron morir en el intento) impele al Gobierno a promulgar un decreto que otorga poderes **a la marina para abordar y devolver a sus paÃses los barcos con inmigrantes sin permiso a bordo. **
Having trouble deciding on the most accurate verb here.

they pull along side the boat?
they can deal with the boat? (seems too general to me)
