semi-artesian well Explanation: "Surgente" does mean "artesian", so "semisurgente" would be "semi-artesian". Although there are not many hits when entered into a search engine, a few of the ones that pop up appear to be from reputable sources (see below). Also, just for further information, here is a definition of "artesian well". If it is defined as such, I suppose a "semi-artesian" well would only fit part of this description: “Artesian well” defined. “Artesian well” means a well tapping an aquifer underlying an impervious material in which the static water level in the well stands above where it is first encountered in the aquifer.
