Explanation:
yo buscaría usar una solución no literal:

"allende los mares" es una expresión algo rebuscada para decir lo que en forma más coloquial diríamos "al otro lado del charco".

Aquí me da la impresión de que el autor la usa por cuestión de estilo, para evitar repetir "América".

Creo que esta solución fluye más natural en inglés...

allende: Al otro lado, A la parte de allá de: 'allende los mares. Allende el estrecho de Gibraltar' (María Moliner)

ya podrás elegir si anotarlo con mayúsculas... the New World
