It is not quite as you say. Anyway, I have already included a solid argumentation to support my proposal. Now, it is up to you whether to take it into account or not. At the end, the quality of your translation shall reflect any option taken.
That's right, to identify the region where the wine called Jerez/jerez is produced/grown. In my opinion, 'Marco del Jerez Region' is redundant, because in "Marco del Jerez " Marco (not Jerez) refers to the region.
Have you checked my proposed link on the book's author? He uses "Marco del Jerez" to identify the region. See all his publications and articles... Besides, should "marco" refer to the wine, that term would start with an "m" (lower case letter). It is a pretty straight forward translation. Don't try to make it difficult.

It depends on whether you are talking about the district as a geographic location or as a Sherry producing area. I would not accept "Sherry Triangle" in any context, but I think any of the other three could work depending on the context.

Have you noticed that "Marco" starts with a capital letter, indicating the place-name "Marco de/del Jerez"?
If this is the book you are translating, "Marco del Jerez" definitely corresponds to the region... It seems that this author uses the term "Marco del Jerez" and not "Marco de Jerez". See http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Javier_Maldonado_Rosso to consult some other articles/publications by the author on the same subject (all indicating the Spanish region).
To use an equivalent such as district/triangle would not be consistent with the original term... As said before, it is necessary to keep "Marco del Jerez" and add "region" for an English-speaking target audience.
