Estoy traduciendo un documento sobre historia Argentia. Y quería saber como traducirían : La repùblica conservadora.

Les parece bien? Conservative Republic, o hay alguna otra forma mejor? Es el período dominado por la generación del '80.

neutral  philgoddard: Oligarchic it may have been, but this is too far away from what the Spanish says.

  -> This is the term I have most often seen.

agree  Jim Tucker: yes, this is used (or conservative oligarchy - both Brazil and Arg). It makes more sense for the name to refer to the structure than to the political orientation, but I guess either proposed variant is fine)
