Hola

Estoy un poco confundida con esta oración. Es una cita de Yrigoyen.

la oración completa es la siguiente:

La República Argentina, movida siempre por impulsos nobles y generosos, no puede permanecer indiferente ante tan dolorosa situación. No ha mucho vuestra Honorabilidad sancionó la ley acordando un préstamo a Viena,que fue totalmente invertido en alimentos y abrigos, cuya oportunidad y eficacia han sido públicamente reconocidas.

Mil gracias por su ayuda y mis disculpas por la cita anterior que tenía más palabras de las debidas.

agree  Charles Davis: Seems OK. ("Sanctioned" has one n!). I believe he was addressing the Argentine Congress, so perhaps "this honourable house", or something.

Explanation:
The 'honorabilidad' refers to the parliament/legislature, so I think 'approved' (or passed) is better here.

"No ha mucho" I think should read "No a mucho" (not long after)

It means the money was invested promptly to help the beneficiary people at their time of greatest need.

instead of "Your Honour" I should have written "Your Honour the Congress" given that the President is addressing "el Honorable Congreso de la Nación", as per this text:

"A su vez Yrigoyen envió al Congreso un proyecto a fin de auxiliar a la población rusa. El 11 de septiembre de 1922 el Presidente elevó una nota al ***Honorable Congreso de la Nación*** afirmando que..."
