I had a lot of points counted off on a test I took last year by translating this as "plant worker". What should it have been?

En español (al menos en mi país) un trabajador es "de planta" cuando trabaja a horario completo, con contrato y en el recinto del empleador. "Planta", en este caso, no tiene nada que ver con fábrica ni industria. "De planta" es una expresión.

agree  Muriel Vasconcellos: In-house or "regular." "Full-time" refers to number of hours worked; for 2 years I was once a permanent employee with full vested benefits but worked only half-time.
