La fundación fue creada en el año 2009 por un grupo de personas comprometidas con la sociedad con el motivo de apoyar a los niños de escasos recursos que padecen de cáncer. La fundación ofrece un apoyo económico mensual a los padres o representantes encargados del los menores enfermos para que puedan cubrir con los gastos necesarios de movilización, alimentación, logistica y también para que los niños puedan asistir a los tratamientos oncológicos que necesitan. De esta manera, la fundación ayuda a reducir de el porcentaje de abandono de tratamiento por falta de recursos e incrementa la expectativa de vida de muchos de ellos.

agree  Charles Davis: "Sick minors" is sometimes said in the US, but "sick children" is much more usual. Great Ormond Street, the famous British hospital "for sick children", takes teenagers too, and anyway the context clearly refers to "niños".
