Spanish term or phrase: comunicaciones y posters
From a doctor's CV, a section on "Comunicaciones y Posters"

They would appear to be presentations, papers, speeches, but how to distinguish? Further complicated by use of adjective "oral", e.g.

Would "comunicaciones" be "presentations"? What about "posters"? I don't think they mean placards here ...

presentations / papers and poster sessions
Explanation:
It would be best to ask to client whether these are presentations or papers, although you can probably tell from the list on the CV. If both are included, you might want to expand your header to "Presentations, Papers and Poster Sessions."

Thanks very much, very helpful. And thanks also to PhilGoddard for explaining what a "poster session" is - he's right, I didn't know. (and I already graded this q. don't know why it hasn't shown up). Thanks again !!

agree  philgoddard: I don't think there's any ambiguity - you either give a presentation or a poster session.

-> Thanks, Phil. Sometimes people use the words "comunicación", "ponencia" indiscriminately to refer to papers and presentations. These look like presentations, but there may be papers lurking further down the list of accomplishments.

Reference: El Póster

Reference information:
