Spanish to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Insurance / method of collecting Insurer\'s fees | | Spanish term or phrase: (gastos) detraídos diariamente en número de participaciones | | Context: "Gastos de Gestión: 0,50% anual devengado diariamente sobre el saldo del contrato al final de cada día, ***detraídos diariamente en número de participaciones***. 2,50% Comisión de suscripción sobre primas." -- This is an insurance policy where the "activo vinculado" is 3-YEAR NOTE ON DJ EUROSTOXX50. Each "participación" costs 1,000 euros and the policyholder has invested 7,000 euros. What I cannot understand is that the Insurers appear to be saying they will take their fees by reducing the number of "participaciones", but given the high value per "participación", I cannot see how this is possible. |

| | (expenses) daily deducted/withheld in amount of holdings/shares | Explanation: As per the context. "Detraído" means "removed, separated, taken away", so we are obviously talking of collecting the management expenses from the total amount represented by the holdings/shares; at the end of the day, total holdings amount to money, so it's just a question of gross versus net value. |
