El Asegurado, XXX, S.A., tiene contratada con Uds. la Póliza nº XXXXX del ramo Producto Técnico Todo Riesgo de Construcción, cuyo Acta nº1 es de fecha de efecto el xxxx de 2002 y vencimiento el xxx de 2004.

I'm not sure what the "Acta nº 1" is referring to. Can anyone explain what this means here?

I'm not really convinced that "certificate" was what I needed here, but it's what I ended up using. My concern was over confusion with "certificate of insurance," which does not refer to the policy itself, but is just (usually) a single sheet of paper acting as proof that there IS a policy. It usually just shows the types of coverage, insurers, limits and effective dates (a template for a Certificate of Insurance can be seen here: http://workstudy.berkeley.edu/Certificate%20of%20Insurance.htm). It was clear from my context that they were talking about the policy itself.
