Spanish to English translations [PRO] Social Sciences - International Org/Dev/Coop / Commercial Sexual Exploit
Spanish term or phrase:ha
Here's the sentence in which it appears: "Estando en el proyecto me di cuenta que yo estaba en una problemática y ha todo lo que me exponía en ella y si no salía ahora, iba a terminar peor..."
I don't quite get the meaning here. Would this be ok?
"By being involved in the project I realised that I had a problem and everything I had been exposed to; if I did not get out now, it was going to get worse..."
I know you didn't even ask about this part, but in English, 'una problemática' usually translates in the plural, which would make sense in your context, as I'm sure there was more than one problem involved...
I was going to suggest 'opened my eyes to the problems I was involved in', but I think 'the mess I was in' covers it nicely in this particular context.

From Oxford Spanish dictionary:
problemática femenino problems (plural); nuestro punto de vista en torno a la problemática de América Central our point of view on the problems o the situation in Central America; la problemática que plantea el crecimiento de la ciudad the problems o questions posed by the expansion of the city; la problemática de la pareja y la familia the problems within a relationship and the family
I think it is a typo. It should read "y a todo lo que me exponía en ella"

I realized I had a problem and I became aware of all that the problem was exposing me to
Explanation: she means "me di cuenta" to be understood twice: the second time, instead of repeating "I realized", I put "I became aware".

"ha" is actually "a" and is meant to be understood after "me exponía", i.e. "me exponía A" = I was exposing myself TO. The structure of the sentence becomes clearer if it is rewritten like this:
"me di cuenta de que yo estaba en una problemática y [me di cuenta de] todo aquello que me exponía a ello en esa problemática"

Being in the project [really] opened my eyes to the mess I was in and just how exposed I was, and that if didn’t get out now, things would only get worse.
