Spanish to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Internet, e-Commerce / EDI supply agreement | | Spanish term or phrase: sin que ello pueda implicar | SPAIN. Service contract. Mental block time. All I can come up with is "without this entailing/involving" but it doesn't sound very formal. I've been at this for several hours today so maybe it's just burn out...
"En el caso de que el CLIENTE decida encomendar a el X la subsanación de los errores referidos en los Soportes y/o Resultados entregados, el X deberá realizar todas aquellas actividades tendentes a dicha subsanación, ***sin que ello pueda implicar*** una modificación de la remuneración debida a el X según se establece en el presente Contrato." |

| | but this shall not involve | Explanation: sin que ello pueda implicar una modificación de la remuneración debida a = but this shall not involve any change to the compensation owed to
This may be said many ways, including but not limited to:
but this shall not be cause for any change
but this shall not cause any change
but this shall not result in any change
This "sin que" construction requires breaking away from the original wording ("without") and finding another, more genuine English language way of expressing the idea. Once you get through that process, then you will have no more mental blocks on this recurring item.
I think the key here is "BUT"; remember that and you'll always make it. |

| Grading comment I used "although" instead of "but" the first time it came up, then "but" in subsequent repetitions. Cheers HH and everyone for the help :) 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |
