This is just an attempt to 'make sense' of the sentence. Once again, there is a punctuation problem. I think the correct punctuation of the whole sentence should be the following: En cambio, parece adecuada la teoría construida originariamente para el derecho penal, llamada de la interrupción del nexo causal, según la cual el nexo causal (entendido en el sentido de la doctrina de la condición) se interrumpe por cualquier acto libre de un hombre XXXX, de modo que, tratándose de la investigación de la causa, sólo cabe retroceder hasta aquel acto de un hombre capaz de relación al cual esté más próximo el acto XXXX. Hope it makes a little more sense now. |

En cambio, parece adecuada la teoría llamada de la interrupción del nexo casual, [que fue] construida originariamente para el derecho penal según la cual [según esta teoría = interrupción del nexo casual] el nexo casual se interrumpe por el acto libre de cualquier hombre XXXX [así que al intentar investigar la causa] sólo cabe [hace falta] retroceder hasta aquel [el] acto de un hombre capaz de relación al cual esté más próximo el acto XXXX de esto, reordeno la redacción: En cambio, La teoría de la interrupción del nexo casual parece adecuada. Esta teoría, construida originalmente para el derecho penal, sostiene que el nexo casual se interumpe por el acto libre de cualquier hombre XXX Así, para investigar la causa, basta con retroceder hasta el acto de un hombre capaz de relación que esté más próximo al acto XXXX y mi traducción (sin estar segura de cuál es el equivalente para "interrupción del nexo casual", aunque sin ver más me parecería que nexo se refiere a "relationship", por lo que anoté "causal relationship") On the other hand, it would seem that the theory of the causal relationship (?) would apply here. This theory, which was originally formulated in the field of criminal law, expresses that the causal relationship is broken with a free act by any human XXXX. Thus, to find the cause, one only has to go back to the act of one man capable of the relationship which is closest to the act XXXX.
