Bus/Financial - Law: Contract(s)
Spanish term or phrase: Contrato de permanencia
this is a contract for a phone company where the user has to sign up for a minimum period. I don't know what the correct term is for this type of contract - could it be "Tenure Contract"?
It appears as follows: "Contrato de permanencia... El Cliente se compromete a permanecer dado de alta en este Contrato con la línea vinculada al mismo durante los dieciocho meses siguientes..."
Thanks!

Well it's either fixed term and renewable or it's minimum tern as suggested by you. If in doubt I would go for "minimum term contract" as this is clear and unambiguous

Notes to answerer
Asker: thanks AllegroTrans, but I think a fixed term contract would automatically expire at the end of the term, whereas this is more of a "minimum term contract"- but is that the right translation? thanks

Asker: thanks very much -I did a look on Google and Minimum term contract comes up for phone companies, so that seems about right! Thannks for your help - obviously burning the midnight oil like me! Cheers
