Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Law: Contract(s)
Spanish term or phrase: explotación de marcas
Hi! I just made another enquiry with the use of the word "explotación" and a great solution (which I'm going to use!) was suggested that totally sidelines the "explotación" word. Here is another part of the text where I'm having trouble with this word. It is a list of the activities the company is registered for:

Context:

Thanks again for your input.

neutral  Vitaliy Rysyuk: "use" does not imply any particular benefit or profit for the doer whereas "exploitation" does. "use" is not incorrect but, from my point of view, too netral for the case. Standard for what? Each word has its meaning otherwise it would not exist.
29 mins
  -> No, it's standard.//"Standard" means the term most widely used and accepted in this context. Each word has its meaning for a certain context, that is why they exist.

  -> thank you! ;-)

neutral  rich.: I think "uso" is "use" and "explotación" is "exploitation". Please see my agree below. Cheers Edward! So in the translation of "...para su uso, explotación o venta", would you use "operation" or some other term?
37 mins
  -> Don't agree, but thanks anyway! "Operation" every time! - I usually reserve "exploitation" for natural resources.

  -> Absolutely, which means use is use and exploitation is exploitation, each being in its own place.
