I know the term redemption is used in banking and insurance but I'm not totally sure in the context below (a whole life insurance policy related with hedge funds), pls see below thanks

Transcurridos seis meses desde la entrada en vigor del contrato, el Tomador podrá ejercitar su derecho al rescate total de la póliza, quedando extinguido el contrato.
