Bus/Financial - Law: Contract(s) / Gas Service Contract
Spanish term or phrase: Fecha de la factura (in context with phrase below)
The full sentence reads:

El pago de las facturas será realizado el día siguiente a haber transcurrido 60 días fecha de entrega de los bienes o de la prestación de los servicios desde la fecha de la factura.

This is part of the billing clauses from a Gas Providers General contract, can´t get my head around the invoices being paid the day after 60 day having elapsed from the delivery of the goods or services and from the invoice date.
Anyone shed some light on this one?

I think it means to say:

Invoices will be paid 60 days after the date the goods have been delivered, or 60 days after the date of invoice for provision of services.

But I think you will need to check with client as it's not very clear.

(60 days grace period) from date of invoice

Explanation:
as you yourself and Lisa Mac have said, there are 60 days between payment of invoice being due and the delivery of goods or services. I think this is best described as a "60 day grace period" meaning the bill is due to be paid on 61st day

on second thoughts...it could be construed that they actually have a 61 day grace period within which bill must be paid.

I agree that the Spanish is quite garbled

agree  MollyRose: This is normal in English. They should pay within the 60 days, but it will be late after that.

-> Thanks, it's like the grace period on credit cards; high interest and late fee slapped on once past the due date!

agree  Stella Hall: I agree with -->..it will be paid the first day after the 60-day grace period from billing date. I dissagree with the spansin being garbled. Remember that the term invoice are used for goods, the term bills are used for services provided.

-> Thanks, Stella. Not sure about the use of 'bill'. I provide a translation service, for which I send an invoice to my clients. Is this consider a 'good' as opposed to a service'? I use bill for gas, electricity, water etc

Reference information:
What is an invoice?

From the source listed below: "An invoice is defined in a Webster’s dictionary as 'an itemized bill for goods sold or services provided, containing individual prices, the total charge, and the terms.'
The invoice is often referred to as the sales invoice. However, the purchaser of the goods or services might refer to the invoice received from the vendor or supplier as a purchase invoice." The above paragraph taken from AccountingCoach.

This is the terms I learned in accounting courses. If incorrect, please excuse my mistake, as I did not mean to mislead anyone. Thank you.
