The preamble to a short declaration that the registration of a company is current and in force, as issued by the Commercial Registrar

"Que en vista de la precedente instancia, al objeto de obtener certificación del extremo a que se contrae, y acomodándome a los términos en que esta concebida, he examinado en lo necesario los libros del archivo a mi cargo, de los cuales resulta"

I guess the expression means "the matter in hand" but is there a more elegant expression in this context?
