prenutial agreement and that is how I have used it in dozes of cases for clients from Latin America (such as Colombia).

This is also confirmed in Tom West's Legal and Business Dictionary.

This is NOT the same as a pre-nuptial agreement in the US.

Las capitulaciones matrimoniales podrán otorgarse antes o después de celebrado el matrimonio. Las capitulaciones matrimoniales pueden volver a ser establecidas con posterioridad modificando lo establecido inicialmente.

Explanation:
No a pre-nuptial agreement but an agreement between spouses setting out which "property regime" (I shrink from using "regime" in English as it sounds like a dictatorship) they wish to adopt, i.e. whether there property an assets are individuall or jointly owned.
