Spanish term or phrase: explotar una empresa
"La FRANQUICIA es un sistema de comercialización de productos y/o servicios y/o tecnologías, basada en una estrecha y continua colaboración entre empresas jurídica y financieramente distintas e independientes, el Franquiciador y sus Franquiciados, en el que el Franquiciador dispone el derecho e impone a sus Franquiciados la obligación de explotar una empresa de acuerdo con sus conceptos."

"The FRANCHISE is a system of goods marketing, services and/or technologies, based on a close and continuous collaboration among companies legally and financially different and independent, the Franchiser and its Franchisees, wherein the Franchiser has the right to force its Franchisees to develop a company according to its concepts."

También tengo la duda si he usado bien los términos "Franquiciador" y "Franquiciados". Gracias por su aporte experimentado =)

agree  philgoddard: In answer to your other question, Daniel: yes, except it's spelt franchisor, not franchiser. Also, remember that the adjective usually comes before the noun in English, and "force" is not the right choice of word. You mean "require".

-> Thank you, Phil. I did check in Google the number of hits (45.000). Besides, it sounds all right to my eards. In one the discussion entries Yvette suggests "expressed their opposition to". Maybe that's better. Cheers, Phil.
