Bus/Financial - Law: Taxation & Customs / informe diagnóstico tributario
Spanish term or phrase: plazo máximo de atraso

¿Bastaría con "not later than"?

Gracias por sus comentarios.

within ( ) at most
Explanation:
con un plazo máximo de atraso de 10 días = within 10 days at most

Podrá decirse asimismo: within a term of 10 days at most...

Maximum retroactive period of 10 days

Explanation:
'Not later than/no longer than' say, 10 days after such and such a date is correct but a bit too colloquial in style for this context here.

Maximum waiting period in case of tardiness

Explanation:
Dependiendo del contexto, pueden usarse muchas palabras, por ejemplo si se refiere a pagos podrìa ser: Maximum waiting period in case of late payment.
También puede ser: Maximum waiting period in case of delayed payment.

neutral  Oliver Toogood: "in the event of" sería mejor, pero 'tardiness' no funciona aquí

agree  Charles Davis: I was just about to suggest the same answer, Henry. I agree completely; in fact I think you could even omit "at most"; "within" alone would be enough.

-> Gracias, Charles. You're right, although "at most" does serve as emphasis.

agree  philgoddard: Yes, Charles is right, "within at most" is a tautology.
