Whilst Rich's suggestion gets to the root of this I think this is more about the parties being warned about the legal consequences of the transaction. Compare the cautions/warnings given by a notary when completing a property transaction - he/she warns the buyer & the seller about the legal consequences of not declaring the full price paid to the authrorities. |
