Spanish term or phrase: ejercicio social
This is a document concerning the establishment of a non-profit organization. Those setting it up must turn in a report about it "dentro de los tres primeros meses siguientes al cierre del ejercicio social."
I need a good way to say "ejercicio social". Is there a legal term for it?

Thanks you and the others, too. I am going with "fiscal year" since it is defined later in the document as Jan.1 to Dec. 31.
I know... read the whole thing first! but it is a rush (what job isn't?) so I just plunged in. Thanks again.
