upon first notification Explanation: This is the phrase I use when working with banks and financing entities. In such a case the "first call" does not usually decide more than the fact that the Assembly has been called, but it paves the way for a coming quorum to really make decisions (second notice or third, if the entity is really a big one). |

convoked Explanation: Hope you get this on time! The new board has started to work vigorously. The Extraordinary AGM will be ***convoked*** in conformity with the provisions in the Statutes (60 days before) and full documentation will be available for remittance at the latest 30 days before the meeting. The Supreme Council shall meet in at least one (1) session in a year and in such special sessions as occasion may require. Special sessions shall be ***convoked*** by the Chairman at the request of the Executive Committee or of a majority of the Members of the Organisation. http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:www.ukec.com/about/cons... THIS is very special language for meetings of the AGM, highly formal, becuase there are important implications in respect of making sure everyone is aware of the meeting etc. The correct term is 'convoke' ...is firstly convoked for...is secondly convoked for ....and is finally convoked for... |
