Justice of the peace is the magistrate, not the institution. The term justice is sometimes used to refer to high court judges.
My reference (see below), also gives justices' court as well as magistrates' court as translations.

|This has also been confirmed by Eurodicautom. The reason I asked was because I had doubts as to whether JP or magistrates court was the correct term. I don't think the other translations are correct. Thanks to everybody.|
