According to law Explanation: I agree with Maria. The point is that a distinction is being made between 'derecho' and 'equidad'. If the sentence had said 'El arbitraje será en equidad' the arbitrators would be able to reach their decisions in accordance with their notions of fairness; as it is, they have to follow the law. |

on points of law / on question of law Explanation: The arbitration will be on point of law. Please see this reference : PART I - ARBITRATION PURSUANT TO AN ARBITRATION AGREEMENT { 4 } Powers of the court in relation to award { 484 } Section 69. - Appeal on point of law. { 518 } Section 69. - Appeal on point of law. { 518 } (1) Unless otherwise agreed by the parties, a party to arbitral proceedings may (upon notice to the other parties and to the tribunal) appeal to the court on a question of law arising out of an award made in the proceedings. An agreement to dispense with reasons for the tribunal's award shall be considered an agreement to exclude the court's jurisdiction under this section. { 519 } experience in untangling legal jargon |
