Hello all,
Any suggestions for the translation of "van sueltecitas, van sueltecitas" said of girls the speaker believes dress immodestly.

Thanks

English translation:looking a little sleazy/slutty/saucy
Explanation:
Just some other ideas--the previous answerer provided some good ones too.

Sleazy means lewd or in bad taste. Could be just they way they dress.

Slutty implies "easy" or loose morals.

you could say "saucy" if the intention was more flattering.

I just wanted to add that sleazy has overtones of "shabby", "tawdry" or even dishonest (depending on context). For girls walking down the street, especially young girls, I doubt it would be the first thing that comes to mind. I agree that more context is needed.

agree  Richard Boulter: Yes. 'Loose' (adj.) as in 'a loose woman' would also serve in the apparent context.

agree  Carolingua: I agree that it means "loose" or "easy" or maybe even "sleazy" or "slutty". "van sueltecitas" then would be something like "looking a bit sleazy" "or they look a bit on the sleazy side". I'm not an expert on these idioms though.
