Spanish term or phrase: mientras más sombra haya
Hello all
I would appreciate your help with the translation of the following sentence.

mientras más sombra haya, más duro será el material

Context: Man talking about selling drugs in a park. The park has been divided up into different plots according to the type of drug being sold and then subdivided according to the price.

I understand that he is saying the heavier the shade, the harder the drugs but i'm confused as to whether he means the plots that enjoy the most shade on a daily basis sell the hardest drugs or whether he means the later on in the day it gets, (the shadier it gets) the harder the drugs.
What do you think?

the darker it is

Explanation:
I take it to mean that the hardest drugs are sold where it is darkest, away from prying eyes; the darker the surroundings, the harder the drugs.
