Spanish term or phrase: retrato de la calle en tiempos de crisis
Hello,
What would be a good translation for retrato de la calle en tiempos de crisis

El resultado de este retrato de la calle en tiempos de crisis ha superado sus previsiones más optimistas.

The sentence refers to the success of an internet series.

Thanks

portrait of the street in times of crisis
Explanation:
This Internet series is interesting (if it's the one produced by some young guys in Seville and picked up on the "Sexta"). I think that the "retrato de la calle" here is a reference to a photographic genre called "street portrait", part of "street photography". That's the style of the series. If you Google "street portrait" you'll get descriptions and a lot of images.

picture/portrait of the public in times of crisis

Explanation:
Given the context it seems to be referring to those watcing the internet series (public) and instead of portrait, it may be a snapshot or picture of them

a portrait of the man in street/ordinary people at a time of crisis

Explanation:
More context really is needed though; it might literally refer to a particular street itself rather people.

depiction of the masses in times of crisis

Explanation:
I really don't care for the use of public here - in the US public is used more often as an adjective than a noun, and there are better words to describe the general public: multitude, masses, populace, ordinary life/people
