didactic use

Explanation:
I've used this term myself in a teaching context and if you google it you'll find many examples.

I'm usually VERY careful about using the term "didactic" in English as quite often "teaching" is more appropriate. However, if the term is being used to talk about theories of teaching then it is sometimes more accurate.

translated various ways and often transposed

Explanation:
There is no single way of translating this expression into English. It shifts with the context. It is very often the equivalent of lesson plan / class activity (outline, sheet, guide, etc.) and another SP word 'unidad didáctica':
EXPLOTACIÓN DIDÁCTICA:

www.stellarium.es y haciendo preguntas a los/as
www.pd.astro.it/ariveder/es/sist_sol.htm.
La clase completa la actividad.
Respuestas:
1. Mercurio; 2. Venus; 3. Marte; 4. Júpiter; 5. Saturno; 6. Urano; 7. Neptuno; 8. Plutón

However , in this example, the translator has transposed 'explotación didáctica into English in such a way that there are no "matching terms": RESUMEN
ABSTRACT
This article focuses on the teaching of English as a foreign language through a graded reader version of Macbeth and a contrastive analysis with a recent BBC television adaptation that shifts the historical context of the play from the Middle Ages to today.
(In both version the text continues to elaborate techniques and methods, activity and class plans, etc.)

I can also be 'didactic use', exploitation of teaching materials' or 'use of teaching materials and methods' as three other people have suggested and I'm sure that other people could suggest more.

This is not a 'plug-in' term. It needs to be understood and translated according to the context.
