Spanish to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Management
Spanish term or phrase:La carrera supeditada al cliente.
I'm translating a transcription of a short business orientation course. I'm wondering if the sentence implies that ones career depends on the client or if ones career is of less importance than the client.
Reading a little further into the document, there is a definite continuity. It's talking about employees within a consultancy who feel that their employer is much more concerned with the client than with the employees' careers. (typically enough)
I don't know what "carrera" means in this case. But I think the meaning of "supeditada" is "depends on" or "is subordinated to the client".
The meaning of "supeditar" in Spanish is "subordinar o condicionar algo a otra cosa".
More context would help ..
