Puede ser conveniente incluir un control de marcas (marcas de fabricante frente a MDD), con el objetivo de que la muestra sea lo más representativa posible

These are consumer trials for a new product. I don't know what MDD stands for but, given the context, I have an idea it could be supermarket own brand. Am I right?
