Tech/Engineering - Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) / Wooden Board Factory
Spanish term or phrase: tupista
In a list of jobs at a factory in Spain that produces wooden boards, the last man on the list is described as "Tupista 1ª Prej.". I've seen that plenty of people describe themselves as "carpintero-tupista" or "ebanista-tupista" on the web, so I'm thinking this has more to do with the "close grain" sense of "tupido" than the "tight packing" sense. I'd be grateful for any ideas.
