Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) / Granite cutting
Spanish term or phrase: cizallas
DESPIECE DEL PLANCHÓN
Utilizando máquinas de disco (aserrado) o cizallas (tronzado) el planchón se despieza en las dimensiones solicitadas por el cliente.

From a website of a company which processes granite for use in construction.

I assume that this kind of granite cutter does not use a circular saw blade but another kind of cutter, given the contrast suggested above between the disk cutter and "cizallas". Any ideas from any stone experts out there?

Thanks very much in advance.

agree  Charles Davis: No doubt about it. Not stone cutters (which saw through the stone). Splitters it is.
